It was one of those days, when my tutorial class had to stay behind in school for a class project for Retail Management!

All of us dragged our feet to the school cafeteria for dinner; and that was when my eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

I was in line, for my food, when I saw this girl, with an impossibly eclectic style in the stall beside. My line of vision went straight to her boots as I was wondering how in the world, can she manage to walk around campus in THOSE heels; gorgeous it may be.

It look ridiculously like YSL's Tributes; and guess what?! After a small chat with her, it confirmed my guess!

I asked to snap a picture of her;

YSL shoes are impossibly classy, and gorgeous, and, I don't know, seeing them outside the store's window display just, literally, sent shivers up and down my spine.

Happened to be browsing Wretch, an online photo sharing community commonly used by the Taiwanese, when I came across a particular wedding album.

I was intrigued by the photos; and even more so by this picture;

The bride looks every bit of a super model; and this is just so unconventional; like something that you will get out of a magazine instead of a bridal album!

She's simply, stunning.

Going the super casual, on a holiday, look again(:

A Peek Into Anna's (Or Grace's) September Issue

Caught The September Issue a couple of days ago; and it was beyond, awesome! It was great, to have the chance to have an exclusive peek; into the life, of the woman who single handedly, took charge, of the fashion industry.

But of course, what was even better, was the chance to see how things WORKED, in Vogue(: The closet; the sheer number of clothes, and shoes, and stuff spilling out are just to die for; it's like, only at Vogue, it does not seem frivolous to be extravagant- or, there isn't such a thing, as being tooo, extravagant.

But what truly captures my attention in this documentary was Grace Coddington; She's such an amazing woman; with a STRONG personality (that's probably an understatement, considering how she stood up for herself against Anna!) She's got both beauty and brains; and she's extremely witty. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that she's BRILLIANT, to think of using the production crew in the Colorblocking photo shoot!

However I have to agree with what Anna's daughter, Bee Shaffer had to say about the industry; fashion is meant to be fun, and an expression of who you are; but some people are just; copying straight out from the pages of Vogue; which in fact, isn't very stylish at all. Sure, you may be fashionable, but if I were to take Vogue away from the person, what would he or she do?!

Now, that's a food for thought.

To end off; I was very inspired after the movie, to do something, Vogue-ish, and so, I was very hard pressed, to take a picture, in front of this beautiful, cobble stoned wall; (who cares if Anna might just have a heart attack if she were to see me, hah!)

A pair of YUMMY, almond colored heels! They're absolutely gorgeous and I know; I'll have so much fun, pairing them with everything!! (well, almost:D)

Having been in Taipei for close to 3.5 months, I've never really been wowed by any restaurants until I've stepped into Khaki's! It is an eclectic restaurant opened by Taiwanese designer, Isabelle Wen located along Ren Ai Road.

The telly is in perfect condition and it is showing Isabelle Wen S/S 2009 collection;

The interior design is wonderful! The little knick knacks found all over the restaurant are genuinely vintage; found from antique stores all over Taipei. And with this concept in mind; it is how Khaki is decorated.

For those of you whose love for retro/vintage extends beyond fashion; you will really fall in love with Khaki; as the ambience and mood are set perfectly; and it is a great place to dine and have those long, lazy afternoon chats with your girlfriends!

A Soft Spot For Stripes and Lace;

Gosh; I realized that I haven't been very active in blogging for the month of June and I apologize!!!! Here's another quick update though;

For the longest time; I have been looking for the perfectly French, black and white striped top, just like the ones from American Apparel which Alix from The Cherry Blossom Girl is modelling.

Managed to find one which I love at one of the nightmarkets around (I forgot which!) I've decided to jazz it up with my peachy pink lace skirt;

It was so much fun and I love the huge contrast; with my top and bottom; which worked wonderfully!

PS/ I'm so much in love with my fire engine red, lego block ring:D It was such a steal!

PPS/My FAMILY'S COMING OVER TO TAIPEI TOMORROW!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!

SO SORRY for my absence; the past week was crazy, with Computex in Taipei, and the crazy hours which we all had to put in! (Esther and I worked the 5pm to Midnight shift!!)

This was taken quite some time ago; but I LOVED ESTHER'S ALL BLACK ensemble!

I am always BEGGING her to ditch the monochromes for BRIGHTS but on that particular day; I had to eat my words!

She looks so awesome in all black!

The beautiful crochet details on her dress and her Alexander Wang inspired jacket complemented each other perfectly! One is so soft, so pretty, and the other, so gorgeously studded and edgy!

On a side note, her patent white heels with black details are just SO classy!

It's just FAB that she worked 3 different looks, ALL TOGETHER so wonderfully!

Day Out To Danshui; Fishermen's Wharf + My DARLING Maxi

Went out to Danshui and Fishermen Wharf; located north of Taipei City and it's such an impossibly quaint and scenic attraction! For those of you who ADORES photography and taking pictures in gorgeous, out of the ordinary locations, the smattering availability of Victorian architectures and the beautiful view here, would be a feast for your eyes!

PS/ The bridge in the picture is an icon itself; it is known as Valentine's Bridge; and couples are known to frequent and cross the bridge; Symbolically blessing their relationship and bestowing a lifetime of happiness and love onto them.

There were tons of food on offer; and the sun was scorching! I guess, I'll have to come out and face reality that the hot; humid summer is approaching!

Decided to make the best use of the weather and so, I wore my new floral maxi with corset detailing.

Love the beautiful crochet; and the "colourful floral on black" effect;

And of course! The unique, corset details which caught my eye the very first time!

I Love Going To The Zoo! And My Beige Blazer Too!

The weather was awesome on the 2nd day of our off day; and Esther and I decided to make a trip down to the zoo nearby.

It was like a trip down memory lane; as the both of us have not been in a zoo ever since we were a tweeny and we just went snap crazy! (For more pictures from the trip, do hop over to my other blog:D)

However, we (or maybe, I was the only one) were totally fascinated by the short, railway track located by the Billy Goats; that we took like; 10 over pictures of us, and the track alone! I mean, we don't really get the chance to sit on railway tracks without the risk of getting run over by a train!

Wore some of my new purchases (the joy!); and I AM so glad, that I've gotten this gorgeus beige blazer (NT$350). I've been buying so many jackets ever since I went over to Taipei; but really, the price, the quality and the selection of designs available are just awesome!

Taipei; From The Streets; Androgynous Chic + Me; Complete Opposite!

Yay! It's Esther's and my OFF DAY today; we have another day off tomorrow; But anyway; we decided to make a visit to the wholesale market again; and we've managed to cart home; tons of stuff; which we simply, ADORE!

*If I've got the time tomorrow; I'll probably do a video about the purchases! (It will be a LONG video; if that's the case!)

But the star of today; is HER!

I was captivated by her androgynous style; and her all black outfit; was FAR from boring!

Her blazer's such a gorgeous cut;
And her top has got soft, romantic ruffles and a longish bow which softens the look;
Her geek glasses and bowler hat complements each other; they look so good on her!
( I don't know if anyone else with a pixie hair cut; would look as good with the hat AND the glasses!)

Surprise, surprise, this is a nice touch to the hat!

As for me ; I haven't done anything particularly androgynousy;
But I was inspired to match my FAVOURITE, girly; colour block dress with my grungey studded black jacket;

I love how swingy the dress is; without having to cinch the waist in with a belt; and I LOVE, LOVE my newest addition of the hot pink bow to the dress!

Taipei; From The Streets; The Cutest Couple. Ever.

I was at Hsimending; shopping happily with my darlings; when I spotted this mass of brown, longish hair; topped off with an uber cool fedora.

On a closer look; I saw him with THIS GIRL; wearing the cutest pastel; DIYish top;

Hamm & Miyuki looks super cute together; And totally matchy; in a non kitchsy way.

Their black jeans;
Biker boots;
And that same laid back;
Grungey attitude that simply oozes out of them.

How they managed; to look so cheeky and cute; is beyond me.

On a second thought; MAYBE; it's their colourful tees/tunics.

Let's add COLOURFUL, GRAPHIC TEES; to our shopping list then:D

I Love HSINYI DISTRICT; And Black Jackets Too!

Went out to Hsinyi District (where the infamous Taipei 101 is located;)
And I'm reminded of why; it is my absolute favorite place in Taipei!

To date; I think I've been to the area like; 5 times;
And I'm still so friggin hyped up; each time I'm there!

Anyway;
It was on one of my trips down; when I saw this guy;

Russell's plaid beret and geek glasses were one of the first things which I noticed about him;
Then, I took in his black jacket; perfectly faded jeans; and huge belt buckle!
(His bag added cookie points for him of course!)

Just when I thought his jacket couldn't be better; I fell in love; with Annie's leather jacket!
Love the zippers; the folds; the tiny details; the fit, especially.

So it was actually; after this incident; which made me crave for a good fitting; grungey; black jacket;

I was SO EXCITED; when I spotted this jacket;
LOVE the zippers; the STUDS; the fit; the material of course!

And the fact that it costs about NT$650 (USD$23) didn't hurt either!

Blazer & Tights; Wufen (五分铺)

Christian Lacroix Exhibition; + My Inspiration!

Yes, FINALLY, I'll be blogging about the Christian Lacroix exhibition which I've went to at the gorgeous, National Museum; the day before I was set to leave for Taipei!

* I've left the programme booklet back home; so right now; I do not have that many facts and information for me to write with;

As everyone knows; Christian Lacroix is famed for his opulent, fantasy creations; His haute couture line is always so luxurious, so wonderfully over the top; With that small pinch of knowledge I stepped into the exhibition with great reverence and I was truly wowed;

Each of his creations are so unique to itself;
The colours; designs; fabrics; are all so lush!

The idea of stepping out in them is enough to make my knees go weak; and yet, being able to dance, and prance around in these costumes must really be really awesome!

There was a short video, of operas, ballets and theatres which Christian Lacroix worked with; and it was just; fabulous, to see the costumes; coming alive! It is different; so much different; as compared to the catwalk where models just parade up and down the platform.

The performers; music and emotions portrayed in the performances gave life to the costumes; and it's breathtaking; to see the layers of fabric; especially tulle; swishing around!

Also; although I may not be a fashion student; but I'm LOVING these sketches so so much! The strokes; and colours used; are just so vibrant;

Furthermore; the little notes that you see; just make it seem so incredulous; as it's the EXACT copy which the designer had drawn and ponder over; making decisions; and cuts.

OF COURSE; I was inspired after leaving the exhibition; (I mean; who wouldn't be, right?!)
I've got a new found love; and that is TULLE;

Previously; I've always associated the fine netting with ballerinas and little girls; I've never dreamt; of wearing that cutesy; French made fabric~

It was only weeks later; AFTER I'm in Taipei when I chanced upon this awesome, grey tulle skirt which I fell in love with immediately!

I LOVE that it's so flouncy, so light; and SO PRETTY!

Drawing inspiration from one of Christian Lacroix's costumes; I've paired my tulle skit with my blazer, a darker shade of grey, ribbed tights and PEARLS!

Went out after work one day; and my girlfriends and I decided to go over to 公官( Gong Guan Nightmarket);

It was bustling with life; people and food; And I've never seen SO MANY pairs of shoes in one shop! It's basically just a sea of shoes!

And I LOVE this outfit so much! (One thing because; I'll just sweat like a horse should I wear a blazer over a shirt in SG)

I'm currently VERY in love with bow headbands; I've got FIVE now; (And counting!)

Hey darlings! I'm FINALLY in Taipei!!
Today was DAY 1 of work and it was tiring! BUT it was really exciting; learning new things; and trying to build rapport, with the fellow interns in the F&B department!

Went out to popular shopping district, Hsimending, after work with my darling bestie; Esther; and we just had tons of fun; absorbing the sights and sounds, and had so much fun; taking it all in; that WE ARE finally in Taipei, and will be here, for the next 6months!

OF COURSE we went shopping; and we've bought some stuff;
SHE got some really pretty plaid dresses and I got my hair accessories (my latest fetish!);

I LOVE ESTHER'S jacket; with all the visible zips and she's one girl; that is superbly comfortable in black and grey;

(Again, I had a soft spot for her boots; and I HAD to take a picture of her!)

Dara's a student from Jakarta, Indonesia, and I LOVE her long tee; worn with those; GORGEOUS, 9 West boots!
They are most perfect! To pair with leggings, legwarmers, socks, or even rolled up jeans!

To finish the outfit was her grungey, studded bag which, complemented her bright, graphic long tee, so wonderfully!

From The Streets; Wonderful "Vintage" Satchel + VLOG 4!

Took this picture on the sly a couple of days back; but I guess, there was no real need to inform the unsuspecting lad; as it was his BAG which I'm interested in!

LOVED that brown, "vintage" satchel and I'm drawn, ESPECIALLY to the gold buckles! They're so retro, something that I can imagine my parents using, when they were younger!

It's not everyday that I get to see a teenage boy, especially one in his school uniform, using such a fantabulous bags; as they are usually carrying huge, clumsy crumplers or low, slouchy backpacks.

WE NEED, more lads like that around!

Happened to catch Factory Girl on cable just now; And once again; I was captivated by the portrayal of Edie Sedgwick by the amazing, Sienna Miller. Of course; I couldn't discount Guy Pearce, and his wonderful take of the legendary Andy Warhol.

I watched this film, some time back; and yet, once again, I was intrigued by the short and tragic life, of Edie Sedgwick.

From the film; it seemed that she was doomed to a path of destruction; by choosing to stick with Andy Warhol (who was widely criticized to be the one who brought her depending on drugs); but one has to remember that it were those hay days; that Edie was shown to; and had taken the world by storm!

SHE WAS, THE, IT Girl;

She's like the present day Kate Moss; setting trends; and having girls all over; falling head over heels; trying to get that little piece of Edie;

She's known for being loud and avant garde; wearing whatever she wants; with no care with how the world sees her;
(The clothes in the movie were just amazing! Tons of sequins, and gorgeous, gorgeous chandelier earrings!)

In a sense; in spite of all those series of unfortunate event; we could all learn from this, poor little rich girl; (obviously; not her abuse of drugs) but rather, her act of defiance; of wearing whatever you want; where ever you want! For having the guts, to step out; in something others perceive; as really WRONG, but to you; it's SO RIGHT!

Whenever someone critisizes you for wearing some, loud, outstanding piece of clothing or accessory; Whenever someone, only has bad things to say about your style;

IGNORE THEM, LEAVE THEM AS THEY ARE;

Style is all about having the right to dress up; OR even the right to dress "down"; whenever you feel like it; Fashion is about having fun with yourself; Having fun with your clothes;

Who knows?! You could be the next Edie/Kate; sending the world into a frenzy; with whatever sartorial style; that YOU, have!

Some of you regulars may recognize Samantha , as the Girl with The Gorgeous Denim Jacket from THIS POST and she's appearing on this blog again; because of her fabulous ripped tank top!

The ripped back is so delicate; but Sam's accessorized really well with this top, and it is so perfect!

I don't know where's she's got the top from, but Sam's paired the top with a high waisted skirt from Espirt, and a vintage DKNY backpack which she loves to bits!

I'll like to take this chance to give a shout out to YOU, Dearie!

Sam's probably still on a flight now, to Orlanda, Florida, where she is starting a 4 months attachment with Disneyland!

From The Streets, The Dandy Who Played With Fire

This was I think; the first time when I had to literally chase after someone to snap a picture of!

Was at the train station; plugged into my iPod, and happily, going off to meet my girls when I saw this guy, who's fedora was perched precariously on his head;

I HAD to look at his shoes; and I was sold (IT WAS SOO PERFECTLY STRAPPY!); I KNEW I had to get a picture of him; Made an about turn; and I almost missed him going down the steps!

I loved Farid's shoes; and how he had taken the trouble to roll up his leg cuffs!

And on a closer look; I fell in love with his shirt;
THOSE HOLES! They look pretty much like DIY; Whoever had thought of burning holes onto a tee shirt?! That's just so wonderful!

And yes, I'm still in SG, I will be leaving for Taipei soon; though I don't really know when; as we're still waiting for the work permit and visa permits; owell; I will do a video again before I leave; my LAST ONE, before I leave for 6months!

On a last note; I NEED HELP for Spring wear!! I need to pack light though; so I need tons of help; for the staples that I can bring along(:

Was at a chalet the past few days and it was a blast! Had to get some stuff for my mom at the supermarket and that's where I spotted this girl along the aisle!

Was a little hesitant when I saw Kanako because I can't speak a word of Japanese and I'm not sure if she understood English.

Took a deep breath, anyhow, and I approached her; Love her cutesy, pale denim jumper, paired with that cute, big, pouffy cardigan and a surprise, Converse High Tops! Love her cutesy style and she looked like she's having so much fun in her outfit! Which is what fashion is all about!

I ended off, introducing my name; and asking her for hers; In the few bits of Japanese which my darling friends taught me; and there was a huge sense of achievement after this picture as I've managed to do 2 things which I thought I can't!

And I'm glad I managed to snap another picture of a darling tourist!:D

SO SORRY for my absence! I've got a valid excuse; since it was Chinese New Year and I was busy visiting my relatives; some whom I haven't seen in a year!

I was at Cotton On yesterday evening with my girlfriends when I saw this girl with the coolest(!) bright coloured jacket walking by!

What struck me most was the way she had worn it with her gorgeous houndstooth high waist pencil skirt, and her HAIR! She just reminded me so much of Cory Kennedy!

Taipei; From The Streets; Warmly Bundled Up With Colours!

So, these are probably the last few Streetshots which I've got from Taipei; which I love just as much!

LOVE this couple! And how everything they had on gave out such a groovy hip hop vibe. Although I'm not much of a sneakers girl, I love Evon's gold graffiti smeared sneakers! (And her hair!)

Of course! I love both their eye catching bags! And EVERYONE knows that the "IT" bags of this season should have as many colour and prints and they deem fit!

And girlfriends out there! Who LOVE to be all matchy matchy with their beau; Take a clue from Evon & Benji; They've gone with the common theme of AMERICANA! And it's so FAB! With his cap and her gorgeous bag!

IT'S SO! NON CHEESY! IT'S PERFECT!

And this gorgeous girl here; I love Saiya's knit dress ( + the length of those sleeves) And that LOVELY shade of green here! Which complimented her hair colour!

And although you guys can't really see in this picture; She had on a pair of TOTALLY cute fringe moccasins boots which she'd tucked her grey skinnies in!

I can never get enough of Taipei! And the people there!

Our campus was having an Open House event; and I was at my Tourism booth; when I saw Liyana in her gorgeous, gorgeous dress!

Loved her guts! For wearing such an awesome party frock out; AND ONE WHICH GLITTERS! At that! I especially love the netting at the hem of her dress; and

A couple of days ago, while shopping at FCUK, I came across a front pleated shirt which reminded me so much of what Holly Golightly (Breakfast At Tiffany's!) wore in that particular scene when she climbed out of bed to open the door for Fred;

I don't normally go for tops which button all the way up but I just fell in love with how simple and chic this white, pleated buttoned up top is!

Wore it as a lucky outfit for my 1st day at school and I dragged my brother off to snap some pictures after dinner; and he took me to this nearby high rise estate;

Thought I'd post up more pictures from Taipei(:

At first, I was only thinking of snapping a picture of dear Sunday ( on the Left); She was selling me the exact paisley dress that she had on; which reminded me so much of those from Gucci's F/W 08 campaign; but she lent an edgier feel to the entire look!

As I was paying for my dress (TWD$330, which were about USD$10!), I saw Sunday's friends/ business partners who were coming out from the back room!

I was gravitating towards Ken's grungy look; ESPECIALLY his bleached splotted jeans; which were tucked into a pair of motorcycle boots and I was in love with Peggy's warm knitted dress which reminded me so much of Christmas! With the cute maple leaves prints(:

I've seen SO SO MANY of those dresses and I WISH I could buy one home and wear it without sweating like a horse!

To the majority of you who are from the Northern Hemisphere; just KNOW that I'm so so envious of you!

ANYWAY;
Many of you are so in love with the gorgeous Chanel Christmas tree; and since it's Christmas today; I have another one for all of you to fall in love with!

Taipei; From The Streets; Mostly Black + A Dreary (SO NOT!) Tree

CHRISTMAS IS ROUND THE CORNER!

Unless you live in a cave; or if you're a hermit who rarely ventures out; a trip down town would TELL you that it's Christmas! I'm not talking about the gorgeous Fairy lights or the decorations BUT the CROWD!

OMG! To think that we live in the 21st Century where Online Shopping is the norm; I guess, we're all a stickler for traditions; going through the routine of getting; "hand picked" gifts for our loved ones...

You guys would probably know my LOVE for Chanel; So imagine how I felt when I saw this tree right in front of me when I was shopping at Sogo, in Taipei!

A CHANEL CHRISTMAS TREE OF ALL THINGS!

Maybe we shall have a very Chanel Christmas eh? HAHA
(A girl can always dream:D)

That night; while shopping around; I saw this guy; who was decked in black too! Just like my gorgeous Christmas tree; And I couldn't resist; stopping him to snap a picture!

I love his preppy blazer and ESPECIALLY his jeans! They were more of a gunmetal grey; but it's totally rock & roll; and that striped scarf just completes the outfit!

This trip to Taipei, I honestly, almost did get whiplash; looking at uber stylish fashionistas on the streets! There are tons of them! And their style varies from person to person! Everyone was so much of an individualist; I wished I've got more courage to step foward or run after them (some of the walk REAL fast!) to get a picture!

The Photoshoot Where I Wore My New (Plaid) Dress:D

So, I did mention about getting something NEW(!), which broke my bank; in my previous post; And I've actually worn it for a friend's photo shoot((:

Jeslin had to hand in like; 500 photographs for her assignment and she's kindly asked to borrow me and my closet for the day; AND we had so much fun shooting at Fort Canning; a really quaint, Victorian, place in the heart of Singapore!

The toilet was our favorite hang out; with us doing a shoot! And numerous outfit changes in it; Thank God it doesn't stink of anything unpleasant! I'll post up my other outfits when I get them!

So in this scene; I was portraying this mod girl gone wild; As seen with me; having my "deer caught in the headlights" look; LOL

There's a series to this; but unfortunately; the others have to go through some major "photo shop" to magically remove my dark circles which could not be hidden by concealers:S The BANE!

So; Here I am; still busy cramming for my papers;

Anyway; I was on Facebook like; 1 week ago; and one of the best things about Facebook is the many albums you get to see!

So it was prom season and I was clicking through the many albums with ladies and gents, all dressed to the nines, but I was most amazed when I saw this GORGEOUS girl, in her beeyootiful dress and eclectic hair accessory!

With a few email correspondence; I got to know that the awesome piece of hair accessory was Sijia's sister's find; from when she was in London and what was more amazing was that she was wearing a dress from her sister's boutique; Caramel & Co. With her sister being one of the 2 designers!

I was floored when I heard; and the other dresses from her boutique are simply FANTASTIC! For those of you out there who loves your dresses and the classy; girly glam look; be sure to click on the link!

Saw Samantha in the aisle, shopping for some candies and I LOVE her denimn jacket!

The wash of the jacket makes it looks all vintage and I love the way Samantha made it all old school with the chic DKNY bag and navy blue pleated skirt

True, this was a look of Spring/ Summer 2008 with celebs like Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth TOTALLY rocking the denimn jacket but i think; one shouldn't be slave the trends and the seasons isn't it?

I'm STILL Loving Agyness Deyn; & this D&G S/S 08 look is just so choked full of denimn but it SEEMED so RIGHT!

Saw this guy in the cafeteria today and he was very conspicuous due to his smaller version of an English top hat!

Not only does he look really chic in black and white, with the blazer pulling the entire outfit together , but he'd jazzed it up with a really gorgeous layered necklace from On Peddar.

* I mean, come on! How many guys have you seen wearing necklaces, which is TRULY his own; AND has so many layers?! It really adds major Cookie Points for him!

Also, his rolled up trousers are really relaxed and on a closer look, he had worn really classy loafers from Gucci which just seems to complete the outfit!

Really LOVE this! One of my favourites! What do you think?

SO; FINALLY, I bumped into the eclectic Qin, of Qin At The Disco in school while the both of us were getting food from the cafeteria and I couldn't help but run up to her and say a BIG "HI!".

I was crossing the road when I saw this girl behind me. So you can imagine me craning my neck every 3seconds to sneak a peek at her!

Loved her colourful dress and her accessories just added so much fun to the entire outfit!

The big blue flower; geek glasses, fringe booties and satchel;
She seemed to throw them on randomly and YET it worked amazingly well for me:D

I was rambling when I asked to take a photo; and after a nod and a teeny "okay", everything was done(: It wasn't after I walked away when I realised that she doesnt speak a word of English!

And the feeling was GREAT! Cos, YAY! I've managed to snap a picture of a tourist out an about! A FIRST!

From Campus; Leather-ish RocknRolla Jacket+ Rolled Up Jeans

Came out from the elevator today and I happened to see this super tall someone right in front of me;

He's name's Kong; and the first thing that attracted me; other than his stupendous height was his amazing Leather/denim-ish RocknROLLA jacket. It gave so much cred to his outfit and it didn't feel too much for school.

Next, his grey trousers are so discreetly rolled up; that it took me a second glance to notice them but they suited his white slip ons perfectly!

This is one of my favorite looks around school and trust me; it isn't only because he is my friend but because I've looked hard all over campus and thus; it's JUSTIFIED((:

I've always been in love with the idea of wearing blazers but the weather here and the weird looks I'll get from others kind of deters me from doing so:S

However I was reading some article on the Dailymail website earlier on about Kate Moss and I happened to see this picture of her at the 7th On Sale Gala. She rocked the androgynous style and the edgy blazer she had on was just amazing!!

So I'm glad to say Miss Moss actually got me to schelp up to my room and put on an outfit channeling her vibe ( I hope I did anyway!)

Thankfully, the weather is a little cooler than most days ( but it's still what? 30 degrees Celsius) and I went out in the evening to the mall with air conditioning up on full blast!

Loved this look and honestly! Le Blazer will definitely be getting more free time out of my closet((:

From Campus; And Now, It's All About Plaid!

Ever since the previous post in which I've posted about my adoration for LC's plaid shirt; Plaid seems to be jumping up at me every where I go! I've noticed so many people, both guys and girls wearing them in school and everyone just looked so amazingly grunge or girly.

Was about to go back home today when I saw this girl walking behind me and I just loved how she'd worn the red tartlan shirt with another patterned skirt (The patterns are really faded)! And her SHOES!

I asked about her skirt and I was so impressed when I found out that it was hand made! (She took 2 days!)

She's so tiny isn't she?

Like what The Clothes Horse once said; I feel like putting her in my pocket:D

Okay; that's all I've got for today and good news! I've actually bought my very own plaid shirt(: But I couldn't find a nice blue one, so I got a red one instead! I'll post a picture of it real soon!

Dark, Dark, GORGEOUS Midnight Blue!

So I was doing a post on all the dull and sombre colors of Fall and it so happens that it was my dad's 47th birthday yesterday; I decided to pull out this new dress which I've got to celebrate in((: {Although the color and the celebrations were anything but dull!}

We went to the gorgeous SG Flyer where we get to see SG at night and though it was a little boring; the gorgeous lights all over the city made up for it((:

The lights from the Flyer and my outfit was totally matchy matchy!
(I apologize for the blurry picture!)

I was going for a bit of a classy look and thus I pair the silk and linen, midnight blue dress with my trusty, black silk mary janes!
I did not add any belts or necklaces because I didnt want to draw away the attention from the classic sihoulette (or maybe I'm just darned lazy for a fash blogger:S) Haha but just focus on the gorgeous dress eh?((: Although I did put on a string of gorgeous baubles bracelets=p

Another dark blue something which I'm lusting for would be these pretty, yet grungey blue plaid shirt! LC made her outfit look so casual chic and they are just! Going to be a staple in my closet! I just know it!

PS/ It's about time to invest in some gorgeous dark blue nail polish too!:D

"Recession Chic??"

For those of you who have been following the news closely; You would have found that the financial state of the world economies are in frenzy with the US going into a possible recession that would actually be worse than the Depression.

Thus, it is no surprise that sombre colors dominate the F/W 08' runways, way early in the beginning of this year; which even extends into Spring09'; Yes! Dull colors for Spring? Avant garde or just plain depressing?

Speaking of which; PLAIN DEPRESSING!

That was my first thought when I saw Jeslin in church today!

Nothing to do with her character! Rather, she was dressed in monochrome black with the exception of her gold headband but like I'd said, the color palette just reminds me so much of that found on the runways and I love love her preppy blazer which she's got for a steal from F21!

I love the crest; (which she's ripped out the accompanying silver chain!)
& the gorgeous silver, stainless steel buttons with engravings on it!

The monochrome dressing is supposed to be depressing but these tiny details just added so much cred to the outfit!

Anyway back to the Runway; I've got to stick out my neck and say that I'm really impressed with Lanvin's collection and especially Alber Elbaz's use of fabric and how he'd coaxed gorgeous ruffles and ribbons from them! And turn those gorgeous swath of fabrics and especially those in black; into a dress entirely inappropiate for a socialite whose investment banker beau is up to his wits' end at work!

But; if I were to pick another collection which had caught my eye; I would have to pick Balmain; I love those structured shoulders and those jeans are just! Fab! I would TOTALLY. NOT. wear these. But they are just so refreshing and I love how everything looks so grunge!

I'll just leave it till here today; AND! It's the start of a new school semester tomorrow! Wish me luck and I hope I can snap some pictures from campus soon(:

My Love At First Sight:D

So I was yakking away about some fabulous Hong Kong finds in the previous post; which my darling got me and HERE IT IS!

It has always been a bane with no H&M in Singapore and when I chanced upon this pair of laced up Oxford wedges on their website; It was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

Took a gamble with my shoe size and THEN; I was waiting anxiously for my baby~

Have been waiting for a fabulous chance to wear my babies and I happened to be flipping through Allure when I saw Gucci's gorgeous f/w 08 ads. The gypsy vibe was jumping off the page and I felt that this was one of the best Gucci ads in a long time!

I was so inspired that I began rummaging through my closet for this perfect floaty gypsy top which I got a couple of days ago and it matched Gucci's vibe wonderfully!

Though my outfit got a "nay" from my little brother ( tsk; what does HE know about clothes anyway LOL?!); I've got this secret smile on my face when I stepped into the car; ready to show off my fabulous Gucci inspired outfit and of course! My lovely new shoes:D

Have been busy the entire week with projects; YES in the hols): and with helping out my dad at his office~

Managed to catch Grease and I was absolutely hooked to the songs and the vibe of the whole musical! ONJ was the stunning girl next door and John Travolta's just the yummmiest High School Senior there can EVER be!

From what I've seen with the whole 50s vibe~ I'm seriously considering getting some pleather tights! Which is pretty much a bold move coming from me! BUT I love how little effort it will take with one fab pair; to jazz up your outfit! Although~ There is a very high possibility of looking like trailer trash with one wrong choice of clothing/ accessory.

Owell; I'm going shopping tomorrow and I'll let you guys know if I've managed to get one of my own!

Feathers on a Fedora

So sorry for my long absence, have been busy with my final week and THEN! the internet connection at home had been terrible!

Was out shopping when I saw this guy standing a few feet away from me; Because the train was approaching the station, I had no choice but to snap a picture of him on the sly~

Remember my previous post in which I was so fixated by feathers? His fedora was jazzed up by this bunch of feathers which remind me of a modern day Robin Hood.

I loved how he was wearing a woolly vest with a smart pair of bermudas and his slipper/shoe thing~ It was really unique and a fresh change from the usual casual friday look I see around(:

I'm Dreaming of My Feather Dress...

School had been crazy with tons of projects and reports to be submitted around the same period. Thankfully, I've already lived through those insanely long nights with coffee as my new favorite beverage and those presentations and printing and binding nightmares~

However, I've managed to take time off last Saturday and I went shopping with my family and we were walking past Fendi when I was captivated by their F/W 2008 ad;

I love their use of furs and feathers and Raquel Zimmermann's look was especially haunting. House Designer Karl Lagerfeld did the photoshoot himself and it was achingly beautiful.

I think my facination with feathers started out when I saw Lily Collin's beautiful Chanel Couture gown to the Crillion Ball in Teen Vogue. The beautiful sleevs and the lovely feathered gown just made me swoon and it was c'est tres chic!

And then; there was SJP in SATC~ Her accessorizing her gorgeous Vivienne Westwood wedding gown with the blue feathered headpiece was genius and till date; I could still remember her gorgeous skin with her deep red lipstick and pretty eyes~

However, my obsession with feathers waned after many failed attempts to find pretty feathers for myself~ However, the lust in me for feathers came right back after I saw Michael Ballack's beautiful wife, Simone Lambe's gorgeous gown!

The neckline is lined with feathers which sets off her tan beautifully and the silver embellishments is enough to brighten this bride up~ So much so that she could go au naturel on her face.

Till date; I still have not found any gorgeous feather stuff~ I'm still looking for my very own feathered friend; So if you have any suggestions! Be sure to give me a holler!

It's TOGA-Licious!

I've recently taken a liking to all things cute and pastels and remember how I've said that I'm not a pastels person in my previous post. I know. Girls(: We're allowed to be ever- changing and no one could accuse us of having split personalities!

I saw my friend's flats I could barely contain myself! I was ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the cute design and the very fact that you could achieve the same results should you have acrylic paints and a good eye for colors and design!

I would gladly rush out now to get my white canvas shoes, and do my own design but the exhorbitant price of acrylic paint is putting me off. Owell~ C'est la vie.

Anyway, to pinpoint the exact period when I have gotten caught with the "cutesy" bug, i guess, i would have to say right after i got my side swept fringe cut into bangs! I have never thought that i was a "bangs person" untill my fringe got too short and i have to arrange it like i did when i was. 7?

So, if you have read my previous post, I mentioned about a particular Mr. Hot Date who just came back from the States? We had an awesome 2 weeks together(; { For those who are interested, you can take a look at my other blog; i've taken a gazillon pictures and let's just say I'm thankful for digital cameras!}

When he left, i gave him the hugest hug i could because the next time i could see him would probably be Summer next year; [ crazy, i know~ that's long distance for you], SO i was feeling kind of. depressed and i went for retail therapy with my girlfriends;

Saw this AWESOME toga, PASTEL dress and i HAVE to get it. It is so different from what i'll usually put on and to say the truth, I was a little reluctant to get it when i was trying it on in the small and squeezy changing room. But i love how i looked in the cute dress and with that affordable price tag, it was a done's deal(:

True, this toga style may be really last year, who can forget how awesome Selma Blair looked in her white Kate Moss for Topshop toga, (by the way, she was awesome in Hellboy 2) but i guess, in fashion, you should always wear what you love and most importantly, have fun while you're at it!

Caught Audrey looking up on some gorgeous dresses in livejournal while we're supposed to do some project discussion and OF COURSE, i fell into temptation and got her to give me the link to the website and I saw quite a couple of lovely dresses!

I've Got Heidi's Candles!

So sorry for my long hiatus but i have been really busy with projects and a hot date who had just came back from the States=p Just as well, during this stressed out period, i have got some lovely candles to use which were given to me by the good people at Heidi Klein's.

It came as a surprise when i saw the email in my inbox and through further correspondence, I got my candles within 2weeks of confirmation and I was elated to be able to try the exotic, Coconut Beach Candle.

The moment i opened the parcel, i could sniff out the strong smell of coconut and the candle in it's holder looked too chic to be burnt.

Nevertheless, I lit one up and i was entralled by the dancing flame and it looked really good on the dresser. Within seconds, I could smell the distinct scent of.. Something. I wasn't sure if it was coconut as I have never smelled one before (only drank), and it was affecting me like how aromatherapy oils would affect me.

The scent is ALL i could smell and soon, it was getting a bit overpowering for me. I had to move it from beside me to the other corner in my room and it wasn't so choking after all.

The wick took a long burn to burn and after more than an hour and a half on my laptop, i could barely see the difference in the layer of wax and the wax did not leave any awful stains on the side of the candle holder.

At roughly USD$64, honestly, i would rather spend that amount of money on a pair of shoes, but I would have to say, it is great for when you want to indulge, and give yourself a treat. For those who can afford to, and is game enough to have something a little more exotic, you can treat yourself to this particular Heidi Klein's Coconut Beach Candle to remind you about a balmy day at the beach off somewhere exotic!

Off to a Resort, with Mizrahi's Collection in Tow ( I WISH!)

I'll be going away to a golf resort in Johore, Malaysia, tomorrow and I will be back on Sunday. I reckon it is going to be fabulous(: I've seen the website and it is amazing!

Anyway, speaking of resorts; there have been many wonderful Resort 2009 shows but one of my very favourite is Isaac Mizrahi's.

I love his use of colors even though I'm not a fan of pastels;

However, what got me pining for his Collection is the silhouette of his dresses and his use of belts in cinching his dresses, jackets and for his tucked in tops.

It me feel less like an alien, coming from a society where tees are meant to be worn loose, and not tucked in into our skirts or shorts;

This collection is unbelievably girly and very wearable. Although the colors and silhouette are very much for Spring/ Summer, I think i would most probably be wearing these colors during F/W, where the palette is pretty much blanc et noir.

To sum it up, Isaac Mizrahi's Resort 2009 Collection isn't much of a stunner; I'm sure there are many other avant garde, gorgeous Collections. But I loved this because it is a reflection of my style and it is sweet, full of sugar and all that goodness of cotton candy.

After all, Style isn't coveting and wearing what a million others deemed fashionable; it is wearing what makes you look and feel a million bucks isn't it?

Apologies From A Flower Girl...

Hey everyone; i'm back after a LONG break. and i;m so sorry; for leaving without saying a word. There hasn't been a day when i haven't thought about the blog and all the stuff i've been missing out on;

But i think, i've got a long writer's block and i've got zero inspiration for the stuff i'm in love with~

But anyhow; i'm back and i hope, even better than before(:

gosh~ i've fallen deeply for the spring/ summer trend and i've amassed quite a (small) collection of dresses and tops that i've found all over the place(:

I YELLED when i saw this top because it resembles the designer's top! And of course! i have got my very own khaki shorts to tuck my blouse into;) Granny Chic anyone?

I got this from Frontier, Spanish high street label and i love the oldish feel this top is giving me and besides, this was on a sale; so, what's there not to love about it?! haha

I got this dress very recently and i love how much color is used on this dress! It looks pretty luxe almost with a Prada feel; and the best part is that it is versatile enough for me to wear to school and out for a date(:

Since my dress is in the wash when i'm doing this post, i got a picture of me in this pretty dress. I got it when i was on a holiday at Bangkok and believe it or not, i got this gem for around USD$10!! I almost fainted when i heard the price and so far, the color hasn;t bled and the seams have not unravelled. So, it's GOOD NEWS(:
Seriously! I LOVE BANGKOK.

When i was taking pictures of my clothes, my dear brother came in and just for laughs, he caught me doing a twirl with my skirt! I love this printed skirt and i LOVE LOVE putting in my shirt into everything nowadays! Including this skirt! I don't care how geekish or whatever this look is, i would accessorize with a pair of dark rimmed glasses, IF i could find one. And, if i have got the guts:S hahaha

That Wick(ed) Scent

Hands up to those of you who saw New Yorker Quinn Jackson in the February 08 issue of Teen Vogue and wished for a fraction of second you could be her?!

ok; as uncool as it may sound, i did; especially when i saw her wearing that GORGEOUS Marc by Marc Jacobs dress!!

However, what REALLY caught my attention was the fact that she gave out goodie bags filled with deluxe samples of Jo Malone products.

i've always been in love with Jo Malone for their chic black and cream packaging- just like how the world is in love with Tiffany's robin blue gift boxes;

however, what got me so entralled was their candles((:
they ARE wax, but they dont provide practical back up during power shortage nor are they the aromatheraphy ones;

but still; the large ones, like this Amber & Sweet Orange Candle costs a whopping £260 a pop!

with a couple of clicks, i found my way to the homepage of Molton Brown, another established British bath and body products company and those gorgeous pots of wax, which are wrapped in luxurious leather costs £70, which is still a tad expensive;

So what's the deal with these candles you may ask;

it is an intangible feeling;
imagine coming home after a long day at work to a boudoir infused with scent-

it is the same reason as to why people would readily shell out the greens to sign up for those luxurious massages and spa packages; to enjoy the pleasures of life.
And with a booming economy and a higher standard of living, it is no longer the IT bag, or the flashy suit that allows ALL ACCESS to the culture of rich.

The candles also come with pretty packaging;
like in Molton Brown, the candle holders are hand blown by specialists in Lithuania and their signature air candels takes 14 people 2 days to create!

and in Bottega Veneta, the leather used are the same as those used on their pricey handbags

Not just a pretty "face", candles, like those from Penhaligons are said to contain premium herbs too; and remember, one should be able to smell the scent of the candle even when it is not burning!

Do not worry about the carbon dioxide contributing to global warming because many luxe candles are made of vegetable based wax which smells good and is kinder on the environment.

Their wicks arent wicked to the environment and to one's health (YES, your HEALTH!) as compared to the wicks in cheaper candles which contains LEAD which is extrememly toxic!

Also, these candles are of superb quality and they all lasts up to 60 and 70 hours; plus, the wax doesnt drip or even if it does, it is MUCH easier to clear up the mess!

These are the information which i have found and i dont know if they do justify the costs of these designer candles. But as someone who wants to work in a posh hotel someday, i know how it is with these augmented products;

It is certainly fabulous, walking into a hotel suite, (or your own house) where such candles are lit because they DO put you in a different frame of mind(((:

Went shopping right after my Business Statistics paper and we were walking past Prada, when i saw the lovely Resort 08 dresses on display.
Ok, granted, right now, the designers are already showing off Fall pieces on the runways but still; it's not even Spring now!

I love the advertisment featuring Sasha Pivovarova, Meghan Collison, Angelika, and Irina Kulikova and of course! How wonderfully feminine the dresses were!

The big pouffe of the dresses and florals depicted on them is just like the ones women wore back in the 50s and 60s; just that it is an updated version!

The pink cardigan drew me in instantly and i was kinda regretting having my "No Cardigans Ever" Policy. The cardi is so old school and widely available, i think it shouldnt be a problem for every girl to have a pink one in her closet; NOT paired with jeans of course!

So although this girl from Sartorialist isnt wearing a cardi, i love her navy blue coat and i love her prettttty dress!!
whoever that say this look is frumpy; ought to be shot! seriously!

Should i cave in the next time i saw a cardi, i would definitely go MOD with a stripy top under the cardi, fastened with a skinny belt and finished with my skinnies!

The Resort 08 collection is very girlish, very fun, and honestly! i really really want to get a flower printed top soon!

There are certain times when a girl has to put down the stilettos and trade them in for something a little more comfortable: at the airport, on long shopping sprees. Sneakers and flip flops will never do; they have "sloppy" written all over them!

in comes the trusty, classic pair of ballet flats;

they were inspired by the en pointe shoes which ballerinas wear and it wasn't until the 50s' in which the trend took off.

All thanks to actresses like audrey hepburn, who wore a pair of flats with skinnies in the movie Funny Face, along with other actresses who popularized the look, like Bridgette Bardot to mention one.

Ballet flats look great with everything from skirts to jeans and are extremely comfortable. Every girl should at least have a pair in their closet, and preferably in black which is timeless chic.

Ultra feminine and always chic, ballet flats are a popular choice for dressing up clothes without adding height or killing your feet.

it is OKAY to indulge and have a couple of EYE CANDIES.

ok, i admit; when my dear friend got me to talk about yves saint laurent; the only thing that i wanted to do was to rave about how much i love the ysl muse bag and how that was the FIRST designer who's bag i genuinely adore.

it certainly doesnt help that i was seeing ms moss online carrying the signature bag and at that time; Kate Moss was certainly EVERTHING i wna be (cept for that cocaine incident of course;) i was only 14? 15? yer; and besides, cheesy as it may sound; i found that i'm loving the IT bag that everyone was carrying not because of the initials stamped on the bag but rather, i was amazed at how the designer have actually created such a beauty that is structured and yet girlish at the same time.

of course! i got a little help from google and realised that yves saint laurent have actually led a much more colorful life than i've imagined.
at 17; he was already working at the house of dior and shortly after, he was sent to serve int he French Army where he;s suffered from a nervous breakdown where he had to undergo psychiatric treatment.

he was released from christian dior because of this and thus, he started YSL.
there, he started mainstreaming the idea of wearing silhouettes and he arguably created the most famous tuxedo suit for women; le smoking.

even till today, as seen in ysl s/s 08; we can see silhouettes which are inspired frm menswear;

also; what may come into one;s mind when YSL is mentioned are the SHOES!

remember the stacked heels that ysl started off which aldo and topshop and other high street label started getting "inspiration" from?

YSL have got another of those super high heels which are so unbelievably sexy and dangerous to walk in and one of the fabbest pair ever made is the tribute pump!! i want one of those too!!!

with the way things are going; i cant even make it down main street w/o checking myself into A&E. hahaha

furthurmore, how can anyone not miss those gorgeous ysl ads starring supermodel, giselle bundchen?!

that was a brillant campaign and the concept was fabbb!! with the streets of italy as backdrop for the gorgeous mostly black clothes!!

i screeeeeched when i saw this!! OMG!!! it's so classyy!! it's actually a make up caddy. which. is more suited for show on your vanity. than for lugging around town.
and according to my dear girls; the inside is covered with midnight blue velvet!!

not sure what is this used for but it;s big!
on the outside, it;s a collection of posters and black and white pictures of films which Audrey Hepburn had acted in. the most obviously being Breakfast At Tiffany's, My Fair Lady and Roman Holiday(:

however, from the 3photos they showed me, i love this Marilyn Monroe one best!! it;s got the nicest shape and i love how she looks against the antique case!!!

and the answer to the lust in your eyes? no; unfortunately. i dont think the store have got an online shopping website.
but still~~ they;re so NICE to look at!

When In Japan, Do As The Japanese Do

so sorry that i'm taking forever to come up with this post; but when i was in Japan, i was amazed that everyone was wearing long shorts, knee high boots and gorgeous jackets.

of course! they were all different in a way; like they would customise with cute scarfs, neckalaces, shades, bags etc etc. also, the japanese girls are BIG on hair and make up! thus, everyone looks different which is just amazing!

decided to pick up a japanese magazine when i was in the airport back home and i could see that the pages were filled with gorgeous boots, long shorts and bags!! though i dont read a word of jap, it doesnt matter. but i was kinda dissapointed cos i saw tons of fabulous stuff that i could nvr get cos i DONT KNOW whr to get them=p hahah
(which probably is good news for my dad's pocket though=p) haha

so, decided to do something about it and that's why i;ve come up wif my own list of japan worthy stuff (which will look as fab ANYWHERE else too).
HONESTLY!
i would wear the gorgeous jackets and boots. if only singapore's daily temperature is not at a high of a whopping 30 degrees celsius ( 86 degrees fahrenheit)!!

bomber jackets are a big thing in japan and honestly! these would complement the long shorts very well!!

also, be sure to stock up on pullovers like the one from j crew as they would add a dash of color to yr outfit!

the star of the attraction for this post!!
if you're really afraid of the cold, be sure to pair them with the sheer tights which are in vogue this season!
be sure, to keep it SHEER((:
or the knee region would look very weird!

yummy boots!! awww. haven worn one of these in my entire (soon to be) 18 years of my life and HOW i WISH to be able to out on the riding boots and stomp around town in flourish.

so; school and projects have taken such a big hold on my life it;s crazy. so!! that;s why i;m taking a breather by coming on here!!

1st of all, i'll like to congratulate hillary clinton for winning the critical leg of the presidential elections at new hampshire~ yes. although i;m not american, US politics is just fascinating and yer. of course i'm Vote Hillary all the way;!

Hillary Clinton oozes the charm and sophiscation in this black power suit! love the way she always have got some kind of necklaces or earrings!

as a girl, of course! i;m glad that there;s a lady out there, working hard and paving the way for other women alike to join politics but more importantly, i;m glad that Hillary has stood firm as an advocate for a woman's right to choose. She has expanded access to family planning services, including for low-income women.

Hillary has worked to empower women throughout the world. She has advocated for access to programs that enable women to start their own businesses and spoken out strongly against the tragic practice of sex trafficking.

And as President of the United States of America, i;m sure she'll definitely continue her lifelong fight that all Americans are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of color or religon!

The orange is just so oriental!! So cute and just along the same lines as wht some of the designers were doing in Paris Fashion Week!

Hey all, sorry for the delay in uploading the pictures but my trip to Japan was awesome!! Ok, so I didn’t get to shop much but still, everything else was fantastic!! The food, culture, people and of course, the Japanese style was amazing!!

Walking down the streets, it is indeed difficult, to feel hungry. There are so many stalls selling yummy food and it is difficult for me to pick something which I love the most!! There are glutinous rice wrapped in a pyramid shape, traditional rice cakes, tako balls which are squid or prawns wrapped inside flour which is grilled into a ball shape, other yummy pastries and ice cream!!

It is fab to be eating something so cold in winter and the flavors!! They aren’t the usual vanilla and chocolate which we know. There are ginko nut flavor, rose, green tea, almond, sesame etc etc. BUT, I was only adventurous enough to go for the green tea one=p

Japan is a country which is heavy on traditions and till date. Many of these are still being carried out. One of the most noticeable ones is the wearing of kimonos, which are full length, traditional Japanese garments, during special occasions.

During my vacation to Japan, I had the opportunity to see a couple of Japanese girls and ladies donning these beautiful garments while they’re on their way to the temple and during a wedding reception in the hotel I was staying in. Furthermore, I had the chance to see a true blue sumo wrestler in his full gear (he was clothed!!)

Look at her beautiful kimono!! So bright and pretty((:

Also, one might associate Japan with geishas, thanks to movie, Memoirs of the Geisha and of course!! I was all hyped up when we went to Kyoto prefecture where geishas are commonly sighted due to Gion, being a famous geisha district. Thus, when I spotted the bright kimono, and intricate hairstyle from downhill, I began running in my heels. Up. To meet with her!! Hahah!! Thinking back, it was pretty funny, me barging right up. But~ hahaha, it’s one of my must do, in japan=p

In addition, I did something which I never imagined I’d do in my entire life!! Haha, So at one of the hotel we stayed in, there was actually a real hot spring in it. And having been to Korea and Taiwan where I;ve tried and loved their hot springs, of course!! I;ve gta do it again in Japan this time round. But there’s a catch~ the only suit u can wear is your birthday suit. Hahahaha.

So, after getting over the initial shock of ladies yakking away as they shower, I took a deep breathe and took a dip. Wow it was amazing and super relaxing. Slept like a baby the moment I went back to my room. Hahaha

so i had the opportunity to go to a temple in Kyoto and it;s awesome!!

this is the section in the temple in which traditionally, people belive that if they wished hard enough for something, leap off the edge, land amongst the trees and survive. their wish will come true!! haha wht's mind boggling is that there're a couple of people who belived in this myth and lost their lives as a result!

this is actually blessed spring water and it is passed down from generations that if you were to drink from either of the 3 stream of water, you'll be blessed with good looks, great health or intelligence!!
Also, the girl in the kimono is actually dressed that way probably because she was at the temple to give thanks or because it's her birthday!!

And how can I end this without talking about THE ICON which represents Japan as much like the Statue of Liberty represents America and the Eiffel Tower to France? Seeing Mt. Fuji alone have left me awe struck and being on the mountain is so so surreal~ Coming from the tropics, seeing snow alone is enough to blow my brains out. The beauty of the sleeping volcano is truly remarkable and it’s left all lost for words yet again~ hahaha

SHOPPING!!!
omg. if ONLY we had enough time to go shopping.
so, the suckiest thing about this trip was that we didnt get any time off to go shopping at tokyo, one of the fashion capital of the world. so, i;ve got to make do with the shopping in Osaka, in the famed Shinsaibashi district.

and so, shopping~~ that's whn my mom went mad in her search for burberry blue label. yupp. u've heard me. blue label. it's only available in japan so!!! for those of u planning a trip to japan; be sure to check this out(((: hahaha

there were so many things to see, so little time~ hahaha but as usual, i do enjoy people watching and wow!! it's just so different from Singapore!! Of course, we dont wear coats and jackets but. wow. it's fabb!!

(and i;m so sorry i didnt take enough pictures on this aspect!!)

so i was queueing up for a ride at universal studios when i saw this japanese girl!! though it;s not v obvious in the photo, i love her furry coat and the way she paired that silk tunic under.

so, haha i took this on the sly and i love how that dress is peeking under her coat!! haha gosh, somehow i sound like a perv. for saying that=p lol
and of course! the way she paired those tough boots with that same dainty dress. so so pretty!!

so. sad to say. yer. i didnt take much pictures of people on the streets partly because the cam's with my dad and i was enjoying myself too much. and MOSTLY because. i honestly didnt dare approach those people!! hahah and there so many stylish folks about and especially in the amusement parks!! haha

there's not a specific type of word to describe them and honestly! every body have their own style!! it's fabb and wht i love about japan is that those young parents are really. really cool!! the themselves dress so awesome and then u see them pushing those prams with equally stylish tots in tow. i really went WOW. hahahaha

having seen so much creativity and having been part of that, it was a lil weird to be back on the streets in singapore. partly because i dont have my fab houndstooth on but; still, i cant help but look foward to my next vacation. LA, NY anyone?!! hahaha!!! OMG!! i truly hope that my parents werent joking about the american vacation!!!

wow so, anyhow i went to a sweet sixteen yesterday and i had such a BLAST there!!

the playlist for the night was the fabbest and everyone just started screaming when One Republic feat. Timberland; Apologize came on!!

of course there was the food and goodies but i didnt exactly enjoy them as i was a little unwell)): still. i couldnt control my sweet tooth when i saw these LOVELY cupcakes with super CUTE ICING!! they totally remind me of LML's Modern Marie's Creation. awwwww))): how i miss you guys.

so, here's a picture of the gorgeous birthday girl, Rachel and her pretty dress from Warehouse!! LOVE the color and of course!! those fabbbb!! peep toes!!!

and i was at the mall the day before, scouring for Rach's pressie, i ended at the cosmetics dept. so i saw the burberry counter. and on the spur of the moment i decided to try their Buberry Brit scent and i was amazed!!!
i mean, it smelt sooooooooooo good and to be honest; it's a better scent for me than Marc by Marc Jacob's Daisy.

awwwwwwwwwwwww))))):
so, should i get burberry instead?!!

(ps/ in case u're wondering, i got her CLINIQUE's gift set which comes which this HOT PINK case! it's LOVELY!!!)

anyhow, speaking of perfume, i received a package from the good people at Buzz Paradise containing a 100ml bottle of the new Roxy Perfume, a few sample size bottles of the same perfume and a 150ml bottle of Roxy Shower Gel with Pearl Extract all free of charge!!

initially, i was sceptical if it was a scam and the darling project manager managed to buy me over and i was assured that the information i gave would be in safe hands!!

so of course!! i tried on the scent for school the next day and with all the florals and citrusy smell, it reminds me of summer and the beach and all things warm. owell. it aint too bad for me cos i;m in the tropics but for all of you who are drinking a hot cuppa while feeling all warm and toasty and in your lovely knits, you're BOUND to wish that winter would just hurry up and go away ASAP!! HONEST!!

yess!! omg i love this bag!! haha! saw this on mei chian (yer this is a chinese name=p) and i love it!! have never seen such a cute lil case before and it's gorgeous!!! it's real PLAID + synthetic leather!!! and at USD 40, wow. honestly. it's a steal!!

i love love mk and ash's clutches!! they're so so gorgeous!! esp ashley's frilly one=p and although the outfits are a lil mismatched on both girls.. i think that it's really their style and they rock it! no matter wht some other people say(:

anyhow.. the gorgeous girl in the center is actually designer jenni kayne.. so out of curiousity, i went to look her up and i love her!!

Welcome To Lisbon, Portugal!

school's in and fortunately, there's a break for me today cos there's no tutorials the whole of this week and yes, i'm lucky enuf to haf tutorials for the whole of tuesdays=p haha!

one thing i've gta say though, is that french 101 was; confusing!! what with the different masculin et feminin, le verbe s'appeler au present... totally je ne comprends pas!!!

haha! anyhow back to my favorite thing in the whole world- i;ve got our lovely Su from The Stiletto Effect to give us a crash course about her amazing hometown- Lisbon, Portugal!

So first up! Tell us where are you from?
I’m from Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. I've lived here since I was born and I love big cities so I can’t imagine myself living in the countryside=p

So, growing up in Lisbon, tell us the BEST things about your home? (Is there any particular place or food that we’ve definitely got to go or try?)
Lisbon is a very typical city, even being the Capital. We have very old, traditional and picturesque neighbourhoods in the city centre, but we also have a cosmopolitan area too.

Out traditional food is Sardines (Grilled fish) and Cozido à Portuguesa (can’t translate that, but it’s a mixture of meats and vegetables). If you come to Portugal you must try those.

Portugal has almost 900 km of sea coast, so we have great beaches. Algarve, in the South of Portugal is great to go on vacations (the weather is great, just like in the rest of the country, beaches are amazing, and the nightlife rocks!)

(i'm a big fan of yachts so wow... Lisbon honestly reminds me so much of Monaco!!)

Wow, it sounds so amazing!! But, what about music styles in Portugal?
I can say my country is the ultimate destination for night “owls”. We have very talented musicians (from techno, funk, pop, hip hop, and electro clash to the fusion between electronics and jazz, opera or traditional Portuguese music, named “Fado”).

And do you celebrate any traditional festivities?
In Lisbon we celebrate “St. Anthony’s Day”, and during almost one month the city is in total party! The older parts of town are full with people, music, dance and concerts on the streets!

That is so so fab!!! And i can't imagine how the nightlife will be.. What is it like?
We have a hot nightlife!!! While in other countries, discos and pubs close at 2 am or 4 am, here in Portugal, they close very late. Some discos close at 12 pm (the day after). Sometimes, me and my friends go out at 2 or 3 am hehe, jealous? ;) We can stay out dancing until the other day and return home at 1pm.

In Lisbon, the area with more cool and awesome pubs is “Bairro Alto”, we can call it the “Mecca of alternative culture” (every tourist must visit it).

We also have great discos, such as “Lux” where we can dance till dawn, to the sound of top international DJs.

If you are looking for all-night fun, you must definitely come to Portugal!

And what's fab during summer?
Oh! We have many cool festivals during summertime: “South-West”, “Vilar de Mouros”, “Super Bock Super Rock”, “Hype@Meco”, “Boom Festival” and others!

So; you must have been on vacations and such - what is the one thing (especially food) that you’ve missed?
To be honest, when I’m on vacations what I miss the most is my family, my friends, my pets and my house. But I also miss Portuguese food of course, especially desserts ha ha)!

I love food from all over the world, Italian, Japanese, Chinese etc, but there’s no place like home ;)

People are very nice in Portugal, maybe it’s because of the weather. We have good weather throughout the year and sun makes people feel better right? ;).

Regarding fashion and style, in the countryside people don’t care so much with fashion or following trends! But in the main cities you can certainly spot the difference. People like to dress well.

At my work place most people dress very formally and stylish, something like “The devil wears Prada” meets “Ugly Betty” (without the Betty lol)!

We don’t have many designer stores in Portugal (we have Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Hermés, Armani, Burberry, Longchamp, and a few more) but we have very cool street stores (not to mention Zara, H&M, Stradivarius, Pull&Bear etc).

Although, in the city centre, there is an area, named “Chiado”, that is considered the 9th luxurious area in the world (together with 5th avenue and others), that’s great hum?!

Yer totally!!! So, don't keep all of us waiting! Tell us about the fashion scene over there!!

people tend to care about what they are wearing. Youngsters and teenagers dress with alternative styles. But in general, when you are walking on the street, you see a very different mixture of styles (from classic, to “Carrie Bradshaw’s wanna be, to other cool styles hehe).

Ok! I’m not going to lie, you also see ugly outfits walking around the town but I prefer to forget about those lol =p

I guess the current national obsession is shorts dresses with big belts around the waist.

What's ONE city that will honestly make you leave your home town for?
Ha ha let me see I love European cities! There’s nothing like London, Amsterdam or Paris! But I supposed if I had to choose a city to move to, I would pack my bags and definitely move to New York ;)

LOL so i suppose if i got you to choose between being a Londoner or New Yorker, you'll choose the latter?
I love London very much, but I HEART New York, so I would probably choose to be a Londoner living in New York. Just like Sting’s song “I’m an alien, I’m a legal alien, I’m an English “woman” in New York”! ha ha ha!

First Garden Party, EVER=p

OMG!!! I don’t want camp to end):
not because I love getting my shoes mucky and going to bed at the wee hours of morning..
but because of wht’s coming after that-yes. It’s s-c-h-o-o-l.

How am I supposed to go back to school when I feel like having fun and travelling to all sorts of places enjoying the culture, people and of course going shopping?!!!

Owell, so I guess I had the next best thing(:
I’ve sent an invitation to some of my favorite blogettes for a little garden party and we actually talked about their home, favorite cities and of course fashion!

Of course! it would be pretty boring if we were to eat the stuff that we were used to and so I did Japanese! I wanted Thai but I guess, not many could get used to the hot and tangy flavor..

So just as placed the last of sushi tray on the table, Jen, Kat and LLG came right into the backyard looking all chic and glamorous!
I mean, try dressing for a garden party-its just too easy to be overdressed and yet you can’t be that casual lest your guest get too offended by your tardiness but these girls did fab!!

Jen was in a pretty multicolored floaty long sleeved dress ala Mischa Barton;
Kat was her usual eclectic self with her FCUK dress, big clutch and ribbed tights and
LLG was like the magazine girl she is; dressing pretty much like Emily from The Devil Wears Prada.

After all the hellos and look-a-rounds, finally we’ve got to sitting down at the table and I got to say! We’ve all taken to each other like bees to honey! Haha!

So Kat, we all know that you’re from Ireland but where exactly are you from?

Well I live outside Cork city in the south of Ireland and it is the second largest city in Ireland after Dublin.I guess I have always loved Cork city itself. It is a very small city on an international scale but it is really quite nice, far more so then Dublin in my opinion.

I always find that there is a very nice atmosphere in the city if you walk around on a Saturday afternoon. I suppose, this is the part where I add in about how nice the Irish people are and how green the fields are but really it is difficult for me to say.

Yes, the people can be quite friendly (if a little nosy!) and the scenery can definitely be beautiful in places. I especially love west Cork for it's barren, marshlands and wild, sprawling landscape - a total escape.

What about you LLGand Jen? I mean, before going to NY and Melbourne respectively?

I grew up in the middle of the country in England, so not a lot going on there. I had an idyllic childhood playing on a farm, building dams in streams, driving tractors, petting farm animals. But I also spent a lot of time in the dressing up box making up outfts, and playing fashion shows. It's not surprising I ended up as a fashion editor.

Wow! Now u’ve shown us all a different side of England.. It’s so utterly quaint and different from the cool, edgy London we know..

Haha! I agree! Anyway, I'm from Ottawa, Canada but I've been living and traveling in Australia for the last year, heading back home soon though!

Wow! It’s like two totally different environments, so what’s fab about these two amazing countries!

Traveling to various places I've grown to appreciate how friendly and laidback people are back home. Canada is so beautiful, it offers everythingfrom natural beauty to a cosmopolitan lifestyle in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.

just to interrupt but I totally agree with you, Jen-
I lived in London for ten years, and the best thing about London is its ethnic diversity – it has more languages spoken than in any other city in the world.

And so you can imagine how diverse the food is too: whether you want to eat Ethiopian, Bangladeshi, French, Portuguese, Malaysian, the best authentic food is always available.

So it was a shock when I really started travelling to discover that very few other cities in the world have such an incredible diversity of food on offer. I miss good Indian food the most – it's terrible in New York!

WOW!! I know right- and the best part about Singapore is how cosmopolitan it is; no matter how the Chinese form the majority of the population right here.. So Jen, what about Australia?

I would say the best part is the beach atmosphere and culture, I'm a beach girl so coming here was heaven.

If you were to visit Canada, mainly Quebec and Ontario, you've got to havepoutine and beaver tails they are to die for! Being in OZ this year, I really missed poutine no matter how fattening it is!!

On the other hand, Australia’s main dishes are meat pies and sausage rolls and not tomention great Italian food!And this may sound gross but some people will want to come to Australia and try exotic food such as Kangaroo meat but I'm not that adventurous! (thank god for that!)

OMG!! Beaver tails and Kangaroo meat?!!! WOW! Haha! they sound so odd but I sure you must too when you’ve heard of the infamous frog’s legs porridge in Chinatown huh? Haha!! (At the mention of the poor beavers, kangaroos and frogs, we four girls take a collective breathe and continue talking about shopping=p)

In Ottawa where I'm from people don't have too much of a fashion sense,being the capital and all it's a pretty conservative city. Normally if your're into fashion you can expect a lot of compliments since it's not as prelevant.

When I came to Australia I was in awe of how fashionable people wherethere, everybody no matter what age has an impeccable sense of style.

I spent a lot of cash feeling the need to keep up with all these fashions,I'm kind of missing back home cause I felt a little more comfortable withmy outfits there wasn't as much pressure to keep up.

In Australia popular brands are Kusbi, Sass and Bide, Lover,Josh Goot, Alannah Hill, Sportsgirl etc.

Girls will wear all the latesttrends, vintage, retro clothes, shift dresses, different color tights,leggings, skinny jeans and all the latest sunnies!

Popular brands back home in Canada I would say are the same as the America and I think people are more trendy in Winter. We still wear uggs and cute pea coats, Uggs are still trendy because in a cold weather it'simportant to have warm comfortable boots and uggs provide that.

Uh huh! I remember the time when Uggs were EVERYWHERE!!! Haha! Kudos to your for wearing them!!! Anyway, what about London, LLG? Where do you people go to get your gear?

Hmm, I would still advise fashion hungry visitors in London to go to the markets: Porotbello on a Friday morning, and Camden in the afternoon, Petticoat Lane and Roman Road in the East End.

Oh and I know a lot of girls under the age of 21 who are all obsessed with asos.com which is the UK's fastest growing on-line shopping site.

Uh huh! I’ve been onto the website and the clothes are fab!!! Haha! What about the Irish, Kat? Online shopping too?

Haha! No.. but in Cork.. I would recommend Merchants Quay, which is a small shopping mall with tiny big chain outlets - Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and an extensive make up selection.

A stroll down through St. Patrick's, will mean a visit to lots of high street stores such as River Island, Oasis, Warehouse and Accessorise.

For bargain shopping head to Pennys, which stocks cheap, cheap Primark goods, but beware. On a Saturday afternoon the shop can be crammed with people so have an idea about what you are looking for.

As well as that don't over look items that look weird or revolting (believe me there are many!) as they could look very cool and even high fashion if worn correctly and mixed with more expensive items.

The same goes for the men's section where a nice oversized shirt may be found, so you can pull off the androgynous look on the cheap.

For designer shopping your best bet is Brown Thomas, a designer department store that has shoes, bags, makeup, lingerie and women and men's clothes all under one roof.

I might add though in Cork there is no such things as an exclusive designer store; you will not find a Chanel or Armani boutique in Cork.

One of my favourite places in Cork city is the O' Conaill's Chocolatier on French Church Street, where luscious hot chocolate and chocolate treats can be bought, all made from the finest Fair Trade chocolate. Dark and light hot chocolate served with mixed chocolate chips is a personal favourite. Enjoy in the cosy cafe or be very cosmopolitan and get it to take away.

Oh GOD! Kat!! And you keep ranting about how Cork is a Siberia of Europe or something.. it seems like so much of a pretty place… Honestly! What is it that you miss most after being away?

when I go on holidays I tend to miss regular Barry's tea! Us Irish people love our tea! I don't really like fry ups (assortment of fried food - e.g. sausage, bacon, tomato, egg with toast) but after returning from holidays I usually get a craving for one.

Haha really? And I thought that it’s the Chinese who love theirs! So what about the people? Is there anything that is uniquely Irish?

I hate to say it but I think Irish people tend to dress really dull. I think Ireland in it's heart is still quite an old fashioned, conservative country and despite all this 'Celtic Tiger' stuff, the closet of the nation tends to reflect this.

A lot of people just don't want to stand out from the crowd. Saying that though I know lots of people who love getting dressed up, wearing different, unusual clothes or who are really fashionable.

The whole 'Emo' thing is quite big here at the moment, Vans and Converse All Stars galore! But I’m not that big into that!

At present, my friends are loving things like skinny jeans, waist belts, shirts and cardigans. And as for my personal style, I’m usually decked in skinny jeans, ornate waist belt, loose tops in muted tones of grey, navy blue plaid dress, grey pixie boots, tuxedo jacket, scarves, clutch or silver slouch bag, long silver earrings, beret.

Lol, I guess I can understand what you mean.. I mean, being on the streets of Singapore these few days, I guess you can see how many tend to be in regular jeans and a simple tee or cardigan. Though I have to give credit to those we dresses prettily. Anyhow, being so near to London, Paris and all, have you ever been there?

I am ashamed to admit it, but despite only being about a 40 minute flight away I have never been to London. I have always thought though that I would love London, it just seems to me to be the epitome of cool.

I have been to Paris twice and I know it's a total cliche, but it is the most beautiful city, everything is breath taking - the atmosphere, scenery, shops, fashion, history, architecture, everything.

If I could I would get the first flight to Paris in the morning. Sorry, Cork but Paris is the best!

WOW!! 40minutes from London?! I would have to take 13 flippin’ hours to get there! Haha! So I guess, if I were to ask you to choose between being a New Yorker or Londoner, you would choose to be the latter?

Of course I would love to be a cool, edgy Londoner! And in a dream world studying fashion journalism in St. Martins! It seems to me that fashion, art, music and history are all interwoven in London.

Saying that though it would be pretty cool to be a New Yorker.......

Although I haven't been there, but from all I've seen and heard it's somewhere I would love to live someday, not forever but maybe for a year or two. I love the culture and fashion as well as the care free mentality I guess..

I was born in London, so I will always be a Londoner in my heart and I suspect that is where I will always return, even if it takes me twenty or thirty years to do so!

i dont know if any of you are familiar with this ad but when i saw this; i was repulsed by the picture but then; i was kinda glad that someone; namely the italian photographer oliviero toscani was brave enough to do something about this disease.

if u didnt think that it was horrible enough.. the 2nd picture would def shock your senses!

i mean how can ANYONE get so sick?!

how can anyone NOT eat just because she feels fat enough in her skinny jeans?

actually. i know people who just refuses to eat or say "i'm on a diet" just because she's gained a few pounds.

i used to be this way and i still am.

but i'm not anorexic.

hilary duff- i have a friend who's teased her about her supposedly "corn beefed" arm in the cinderella story and now; she's leaner and skinnier!!!

what about our dear mary kate?! she's been thin as pin ever since she was little and she got checked for anorexia too!!

what exactly is the RIGHT size?

even normal and healthy girls also wna be part of this thin game.

so a little while ago; i was at the hypermart with my mom when i spotted this furry animal in the handbag section...

haha omg.. honestly. i cant imagine anyone carrying this shopping anywhr!! i mean. it looked good enough to cuddle but just not for putting yr mobile or purse!!

i cant even imagine a lil girl carrying this.

( owell. cos it's just too big for them..)

anyhow. i kinda reminded me of the doggy handbags seen on moschino cheap and chic f/w07...

haha so what do u think?!!

does the fabber and much cuter design entice you to get one of these doggy bags for yr own?! or are u gna think that it's hideous too?! haha!!

frankly speaking; i think that the doggy handbags from moschino cheap and chic are super cute. but i just wouldnt get one for myself.

owell. yer!! dont be surprised!! haha! i wna try my hand at doing smt different and so; i did a lil book thing! haha!

Imagine if you found the real one...

being a fan of jane austen's pride and prejudice; of course! i was itching to find out more. when i saw this book sitting high up on the bookshelve in borders.

anyhow. the story starts off with Emily's nightmare of the date where her date actually gets her to pay her HALF of the pizza and shoves his hand right under her nose of the mere sixty five cents which she's left out!

oh god.
anyhow. me and mr darcy is v diff frm the stuff i usually read bcos for once; in all chic lits; Emily totally doesnt give her outfit any thoughts!!

clothes arent my priority

she said; and shes packed her suitcase with so many flippin books on a short; one week vacation!!!

uh huh; even when her fashionista of a friend told her tt she cant exactly wear sense and sensability on a date! haha!!
(i laughed out loud at this one=p)

this book is def a wrk of fiction ( due to the highly questionable storyline) but it's fun.. cos u get to really wonder wht really happen to emily. did she REALLY see mr. fitzwilliam darcy? or was she high on pride and prejudice?!

also. to those who love love the elusive mr. darcy to bits; alexandra and~ bravely ( in my opinion) written abt the stuff that mr. darcy is known for and how much fiction is a far cry frm reality.. it's made me wonder and really think abt the saying- be careful of wht u wish for..

personally; the book is engagaging; and funny and now; i'm sorely tempted to re- read this work of fiction again=p haha!

read on till the end!! the ending is so.. OTT u gta give it to alexandra potter to churn smt as far fetched out of her!!

ooh and i couldnt resist putting this in-
topshop was mentioned and i;m so so jealous emily got to spend hundreds of dollars on a couple of new head to toe topshop stuff!!! haha!!
love that to bits!!

this book is fab if only u like a girl who's got the guts to stand up for her own rights ( kinda like elizabeth bennet) and of course!! for those who are a romantic at heart!! haha!!

so; as we all know; dear lauren had came out with her own clothing line and i'm sure many were pretty sceptical as she always seem to dress so... safely.... even while interning at one of the most successful teen magazines in the states..

anyhow. i signed up for the newsletter just so i'll be able to check her collection out when it's ready and all i can say is.. she's made kate moss's disappointing debut launch looks god sent!

i really love this look though it's kinda.. simple. i mean. anyhow can throw this look tgt if they haf got the staples but i love love the shoes!! TOTALLY burberry inspired!!
( if u want; and can afford to; get those shoes!!!)

if i haf to pick my fav. i'll choose this dress..
love love the pretty sleeves and it totally suits bigger sized girls who arent a size 2/4 ( like the "designer" herself!)

and i hate hate hate this one.
i mean. it's a tube for god's sake!! it's simple. it's supposedly "burgundy" and u can see them EVERYWHR. so why is it going for a flippin' US$130?!! it's insane!!!

Haha; so judging from the title. I guess- this post would have to be for those of us who are addicted to the bags you see dangling from the arms of the rich and famous. Sigh. Haha! Owell. Not that bad; I guess.

Anyhow, I’ve secured an interview with Coco of Coco’s Tea Party because we both share the love of a FABBB Chanel 2.55 handbag. Ooh. Honestly- I would totally spend my 1st pay on the gorgeous lambskin bag!!

So, first things first-
Could you tell us what’s in your bag?

In my bag (which is a Chanel copy from Topshop on Oxford Street by someone called Marc B) I have:

My ipod
Max Factor Mascara and YSL touch elect or whatever it is=p
Red nail polish
Purse
Coco Butter lip balm
A mini Burberry Brit perfume
A sample of Daisy by Marc Jacobs cos’ it makes my bag smell good
My Phone
Estee Lauder powder
And a heart pendant necklace

Wow! OMG! I was so right to interview Coco for this! Haha! That;s cos we’ve both got Chanel Inspired bags!!

Anyhow; being a Coco fan; what would you choose to own; with your 1st paycheck?

Ok the bags I would be buying by Chanel would be the bowler bag (Lindsay Lohan has one and I nearly brought one on ebay but it turned out to be a fake) and a 2.55 in black white or red.

So, looking at f/w07', what in your opinion, would be the next IT bag?

I predict the 'IT' bag for fall will be either the pink Miu Miu bag that Rachel Bilson was seen with or the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Tote, though this season I think 'IT' bags are out, it's more about practical bags.

(uh huh! I totally agree with coco on this one!! Hardly hear anything about IT bags this season!)

And, being such a seasoned fashion blogette; which celeb do you think have got the fabbest handbags?

Hmmm the best handbags???? Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Victoria Beckham and Cameron Diaz all have fab collections, but I'm not sure who I would say has the ultimate collection.

how can we forget her crazy collection of the uber expensive hermes birkin bags?!!!

And which is the ONE bag u'll GLADLY STEAL frm the store?

I would gladly steal a Chanel bag or the pink Miu Miu. I would probably steal lots of bags if I knew I could get away with it though.

I think its ok to use 'IT' bags from previous years, otherwise what is the point in investing in them? If you still like it USE it.

it’s to stick to something in dark colours as it is more likely to go with everything and try not to go for a fussy shape because that will date quicker.

I have to admit-
i wasnt that much of a fan of nicole richie

and if i had to give a time; ( as to when i've started liking her.)
i guess it would have to be around the period when her pregnancy was announced to the whole world..
that's when i've sat up and noticed her chic outfits and how it would also look good on those who are non preggars too!

when i saw these jodhpurs in balenciaga's f/w 07' i kinda ignored them and instead; focus on those gorgeous scarfs!!
yer i know!!! dont kill me! khakis arent exactly my favorite when it comes to buying trousers and especially because it's such a difficult color to coordinate!! ( as much as i love my white heels; i cant exactly be wearing them all the time right?!)
